Before you get started

  • You must renew your court reporter certificate every year.
  • You can renew up to 120 days before your certificate expires.
  • You must complete 5 hours of continuing education.

Renew your certificate by mail

Complete a Court Reporter Certification Renewal Application.

Mail your renewal application and a check or money order (payable to the Department of Licensing) for the renewal fee to:

If your certificate has been expired for more than 3 years

You must submit a new application and may need to retake the exam. See Get your certificate: Court reporters for more information.
