OLYMPIA—The Department of Licensing has assessed the following to vehicle dealers:
Elwha Enterprises, Ltd dba Team Auto Sales and Wesley T. Hagen, Jon Hagen, and John Nelson. Finding: Failed to transfer titles in a timely manner and for insolvency. Action: Fined $1,500 and renewal license denied until all conditions for renewal are met.
Earl Anton Soushek dba T.A.B. Enterprises Car Sales. Finding: Failed to maintain “established place of business” requirements. Action: License suspended until proving compliance by successfully passing an inspection conducted by DOL representative.
Leonard L. Brandt dba Beans Auto. Finding: Failed to disclose on a purchase order that a vehicle was deemed totaled and then rebuilt, falsified the date of sale and date of delivery on the application of title to the Department, and issued more than one vehicle dealer temporary permit. Action: License suspended for a period of five days.
Gagandeep Singh Bains dba Gary's Auto Sales. Finding: Failed to maintain “established place of business” requirements, which includes maintaining the required normal business hours. Action: Fined $500.
Agustin Delgado dba Delgado Motors. Finding: Failed to maintain records, transfer title in a timely manner, and for insolvency. Action: Fined $1,500.
Carla Jane Shaffer dba Carla's Cars. Finding: Failed to transfer title in a timely manner, and to properly complete a temporary license permit. Action: Suspended for three days and fined $1,000.
DOL has the statutory authority to license and regulate vehicle dealers in Washington. To be a licensed vehicle dealer, businesses must comply with RCW chapter 46.70 and WAC section 308-66. Additional information can be found on our web site at www.dol.wa.gov.
