Learn about identity theft at Lacey town hall meeting

OLYMPIA—Identity theft is the fastest growing crime in the United States. This important issue will be the focus of a public town hall meeting at the Lacey Community Center from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 17.

Detectives assigned to the Washington State Patrol/Department of Licensing Identity Theft Unit will lead the discussion and be on hand to offer tips and resources to help citizens protect themselves from identity thieves.

In addition, local law enforcement officials, prosecutors, and banking officials will be available to answer questions from identity theft victims or those who would like to learn more about it.
