Some state transportation-related taxes and fees increasing

OLYMPIA—The state fuel tax and some driver license fees are increasing July 1. The fuel tax increase will fund a transportation improvement plan designed to address more than 270 of our state's most critical transportation projects.

State gas tax increasing

The state tax on gasoline and diesel fuel will increase 3 cents per gallon, from 28 cents to 31 cents.

Some driver licensing fees increasing

Several of the general fees charged by the Department of Licensing also are increasing to cover increased costs of issuing licenses:
