OLYMPIA—Department of Licensing Director Liz Luce and Deputy Director Sharon Whitehead will join motorcycle enthusiasts from around the state this Saturday to participate in the Olympia Toy Run.
They will join other Department of Licensing employees to donate toys to the Salvation Army. Last year's run netted more than $70,000 worth of new and used toys donated by more than 3,500 riders. Luce said she's looking forward to the ride.
“I am thrilled to be participating in an event with motorcycle enthusiasts from around the state that will bring happiness to Washington's children during the holidays,” said Luce. “We are looking forward to meeting representatives from many of the rider groups, manufacturers and retailers the agency will work with in the coming months on motorcycle safety initiatives.”
