FORKS — The Department of Licensing will reduce the service hours at the Forks Driver Licensing Office by two hours per day beginning January 6, 2010.
New hours of operation at this office, located at 41 Bogachiel Way in Forks, will be Wednesdays and Fridays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Transaction data for the past year indicates this reduction will not have an adverse impact on service in Forks. Additional service hours also can be scheduled as needed at peak times to conduct driver testing. In addition, this change will improve safety for DOL staff members that commute to this office from Port Angeles.
DOL now offers customer the opportunity to skip a trip to a driver licensing office and take care of most routine driver licensing transactions over the Internet at www.dol.wa.gov or by mail.
This change is for driver license services only and does not affect vehicle licensing operations.
Questions can be directed to our Customer Service line in Olympia at (360) 902-3900, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Thursday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
