How to renew your license: Appraisal management companies

Surety bond requirement changing July 28, 2013

The surety bond amount required for appraisal management companies will increase from $25,000 to $100,000 effective July 28, 2013. (see Substitute House Bill 1012).

If you have an actively-licensed appraisal management company, you must provide proof you have a $100,000 surety bond no later than July 28, 2013. If you don’t provide proof, we may take disciplinary action against your license.

To provide proof you have a $100,000 surety bond, send a completed Appraisal Management Company $100,000 Surety Bond Form to us at:

When to renew

You must renew your appraisal management license every 2 years.

How to renew

  • Online, and pay with a Visa, Mastercard, or American Express credit or debit card.
    • Enter your company’s information and the password on your renewal notice.
    • When you’ve finished, print the final confirmation screen for your records.
  • By mail, by sending your renewal notice and a check or money order for the fees (payable to the Department of Licensing) to the address on the renewal notice.
  • In person, by submitting your renewal at our Olympia office (2000 4th Ave W).
