Changes to licensing and renewal requirements are coming

• Public hearing on proposed rule changes July 23, 2013
  You’re invited to comment on proposed rule changes to update education requirements and the roles of supervisory appraisers and trainees.
• New continuing education requirements for trainees effective July 1, 2013
  If you’re an appraiser trainee, you’ll need to complete continuing education before you can renew your registration.
• New federal licensing and reciprocity requirements effective July 1, 2013
  The Appraisal Subcommittee will formally incorporate new requirements for reciprocity, state-licensed appraisers, trainees, and supervisory appraisers.
• Changes to qualification criteria effective January 1, 2015
  Changes to the Real Property Appraiser Qualification Criteria will affect when you need to start your experience and apply for your license.
