The Intern Development Program (IDP) is a mandatory requirement in Washington State to take the Architect Registration Exam (ARE). After January 1, 2008, you may begin taking the exams while enrolled in IDP.
If you have any questions about enrollment in IDP, please contact the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). It is important to remember that the NCARB IDP training requirements are different than those established by the Washington State Board for Architects.
