Legislature regulates amateur martial arts

House Bill 2301 requires training facilities, amateur sanctioning organizations, and amateur martial arts participants to be licensed by the Department of Licensing. This new law doesn’t include regulation of tae kwon do, karate, judo, sumo, jujitsu, and kung fu.
