Get your license: Promoter of combative sports

Learn the requirements and how to apply for a license to work as a promotor for boxing, kickboxing, wrestling, and martial arts competitive events.

Who needs a license?

You must have a promoter license to hold:

  • Professional boxing, kickboxing, wrestling, or martial arts events.
  • Amateur mixed martial arts events overseen by a licensed sanctioning organization or the Department of Licensing.
  • Closed-circuit telecast events.

How to apply

Follow the steps below to get your promoter license for combative sports.

1. Meet the requirements

To get a promotor license, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Have a current tax registration through the Department of Revenue.
  • Have an active surety bond.
