Requirements

You must be at least 18 years of age to get a license as a wrestling participant.

How to apply for a license

Send us all of the following:

• A completed Professional Athletics License Application
• A photo of yourself
• A Physical Examination for Referees, Boxing, Martial Arts, and Wrestling Participants
• A check or money order for the fee (payable to the Department of Licensing)

Wrestling exhibition or show

Wrestling is a form of sports entertainment in which the participants display their skills in a physical struggle against each other in the ring. The outcome may be predetermined or the participants don’t necessarily strive to win, or both.

Wrestling participant

A participant in a wrestling event is any person engaged physically in the wrestling exhibition or show.
