How to renew your license: Auctioneers

The Washington State Legislature has not yet approved state operating and capital budgets for the 2017–19 biennium, which begins July 1. If the Legislature does not approve budgets by June 30, several state agencies will go through full or partial operations shutdowns. You must renew your auctioneer or auction company license every year.

How to renew

If you’ve received the notice and your license is about to or has expired:

  1. Mail us:
  2. Use the envelope provided, mail to:
    Auctioneer Program
    Department of Licensing
    PO Box 3856
    Seattle, WA 98124-3856

If you didn’t receive a renewal notice and your license is about to or has expired:

  1. Mail us:
    • A letter that includes your:
      • Name.
      • Current mailing address.
      • License type.
      • License number or birth date.
    • Financial Certification Affidavit it’s page 3 of the Auctioneer/Auction Company Registration Application.
    • Fee – Check or money order payable to Department of Licensing.
