Bail bond agent

Apply directly to the bail bond agency you wish to work for.

Requirements

All bail bond agents must be:

• at least 18 years old.
• a United States citizen or resident alien.
• employed by, or have an employment offer from, a licensed bail bond agency.

In addition, you must:

• have no criminal convictions in the past 10 years that directly relate to your ability to perform the duties of a bail bond agent or hinders public safety.
• complete the training requirements.

How to apply

To apply for a bail bond agent license, you must submit:

• a completed Bail Bond Agent License Application.
• the application fee.
• your surety insurance license information.
• the name of the company you are affiliated with.
