How to get your license: Bail bonds

The Washington State Legislature has not yet approved state operating and capital budgets for the 2017–19 biennium, which begins July 1. If the Legislature does not approve budgets by June 30, several state agencies will go through full or partial operations shutdowns. Bail bond agency/branch office

An individual, partnership, or corporation in the business of selling and issuing bail bonds to ensure a criminal defendant appears before the court.

Bail bond agent

An individual who works for a licensed bail bond agency and sells or issues bail bonds.

Bail bond recovery agent 

An individual who finds, apprehends, and returns a criminal defendant for whom a bail bond has been posted.
