How to renew your license: Bail bonds

Renew your license

Renewals notices are mailed 45–60 days prior to the expiration date. Renewal notices are a courtesy and it is the responsibility of the licensee to renew on time.

Bail Bond Agency and Branch Office

To renew your license, send us:

• your renewal notice.
• the required trust account affidavit.
• the appropriate fee.

Bail Bond Agent and Recovery Agent

To renew your license, send us:

• your renewal notice.
• the appropriate fee.

If you did not receive a renewal notice, complete the Bail Bond Agent License Application, mark the appropriate renewal box, and submit the application with the fee.

Transfer your license

If you are transferring a license that will expire within 60 days, send us:

• a completed Bail Bond Agent License Application, marking both the transfer and renewal boxes.
• the renewal fee.

If the license has already expired, send us:

• a completed Bail Bond Agent License Application, marking both the transfer and late renewal boxes
• the late renewal fee.
