When to renew
You must renew your court reporter certificate every year. You can renew up to 6 months before your certificate expires.
How to renew
If you received a renewal notice in the mail and your certificate is about to expire or has been expired 3 years or less:
- Complete and sign the continuing education affidavit of compliance you received with your renewal notice.
- Send us all of the following:
- The bottom portion of the renewal notice.
- Your signed, completed continuing education affidavit of compliance.
- A check or money order for the fee (payable to the Department of Licensing).
- Using the envelope provided, mail to:

If you didn’t receive a renewal notice and your certificate is about to expire or has been expired 3 years or less:
