Exams: Landscape architects

CLARB administered exams

The Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards (CLARB) administers all sections of the four-part fully computerized Landscape Architect Registration Examination (LARE). The four sections are:

  • Section 1: Project and Construction Management
  • Section 2: Inventory and Analysis
  • Section 3: Design
  • Section 4: Grading, Drainage, and Construction Documentation

Transmitting your score

If you've taken CLARB exams and wish to have your scores sent to Washington State, please contact CLARB and authorize them to transmit your scores to us.

Law review

You're required to submit a review of several laws related to the practice of landscape architecture, after you complete the exam and experience requirements. The law review includes summaries associated with the:
