How to renew your license: Scrap metal suppliers

The Washington State Legislature has not yet approved state operating and capital budgets for the 2017–19 biennium, which begins July 1. If the Legislature does not approve budgets by June 30, several state agencies will go through full or partial operations shutdowns. To find out what services will be effected, see Possible suspension of services starting July 1.

When to renew

Every year, you must renew your license with the Business Licensing Service at the Department of Revenue. They’ll mail you a reminder notice about 45 days before your license expires. The expiration date is printed in the top right corner of your license.

Your annual license renewal fees will be listed on the reminder notice you get in the mail. If your license expires before your renew it, you may need to pay additional late fees.
