Certified trainer

All private security guard certified trainers must:

• be licensed as a security guard principal, unarmed security guard, or armed security guard.
• pass an examination given by the Department of Licensing. (see the Study Guide for Security Guard Examinations.)

You must submit:

• a completed Security Guard Exam or Re-Exam Application.
• a non-refundable examination fee.

Examinations are scheduled within three weeks of receipt of a paid application.
