Sign up now for E-Permitting

By July 1, 2011, all Washington licensed dealers must use the E‑Permitting system to issue electronically-produced Dealer Temporary Permits as required by RCW 46.16.045.

The new E-Permitting system went live on May 18, 2009. Three thousand licensed dealers in Washington will be required by law to use this new system. There’s no cost to use the E-Permitting system.

We strongly encourage dealers to apply for E-Permitting by April 1, 2011 to guarantee you have access by July 1, 2011. Dealers who don’t apply and use the E-Permitting system by July 1, 2011 won’t be able to provide customers who purchase vehicles with the ability to legally operate the vehicle at the time of sale.
