Drug and alcohol testing: CDL

A driver will be disqualified from driving a commercial motor vehicle if he or she fails a drug or alcohol test as part of either a drug and alcohol testing program required by employers or a pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.

These disqualifications remain in effect until the driver presents evidence of satisfactory participation in, or successful completion of, a drug or alcohol education or treatment program meeting federal certification criteria.
