You can renew your Enhanced ID (EID) online for up to one year before your ID card expires.
You can also renew:
- By mail, if your renewal letter gives you this option.
- In-person at one of our driver license offices.
Is your address up-to-date?
Because your residence address is on your ID card, make sure it's updated. You have 10 days to change the address on your driver license or ID. We can't forward your license from your previous address so if needed, please change your address before you renew.
When can I renew?
- One year before your license expires. It usually expires on your birthday
- If your license has expired over 60 days, there is a $10 late fee, but you could be penalized by law enforcement.
What if I haven't received my Enhanced ID yet?
If you don't get it after 30 days, call us at 360-902-3900 (TTY: call 711).
