Collegiate plates

The following 7 colleges and universities in Washington State offer collegiate license plates:

  • Central Washington University
  • Eastern Washington University
  • The Evergreen State College
  • Gonzaga University
  • University of Washington
  • Washington State University
  • Western Washington University

Anyone can buy a collegiate license plate, and these plates may be transferred from vehicle to vehicle as long as the registered owner remains the same.

How to apply

  1. Complete a Special License Plate Application.
  2. Contact your vehicle licensing office to determine the exact cost of your collegiate license plates, including all licensing and service fees.
  3. Submit your completed application and fees:
    • In person at a vehicle licensing office.
