How to apply

Application packets

You can obtain your application packet by emailing the Department of Licensing at: SpPlateBoard@dol.wa.gov.

Where to send your completed application

What happens to my completed application?

Board approval

The Special License Plate Review Board will review applications (starting July 1, 2009). If your application packet is accepted by the board, you will then need to seek legislative approval for the new plate series.

Legislative approval

If the legislature approves the new series, your organization must enter into a written agreement with the Department of Licensing within 30 days from the date the bill was passed.
