REAL ID compliance deadline is May 10, 2011.
The Department of Homeland Security has extended the deadline for compliance with the federal REAL ID Act. This means all valid state-issued driver licenses and ID cards will continue to be acceptable for federal purposes until May 10, 2011. For details, see the Homeland Security Press Release.
