Short-term or special needs vehicle certificates

If you need to rent or lease a limousine for a short time, you must get a "special needs certificate".

• The certificate is valid for no more than 30 consecutive days.
• The limousine(s) must meet all requirements, which includes passing the Washington State Patrol limousine inspection.

To request short-term or special needs vehicle certificates:

1. Submit all of the following:
   • A written explanation of the reason you need the certificates, including each vehicle's vehicle identification number (VIN).
   • Fee of $75 per vehicle (check or money order payable to the Department of Revenue).

How to update or correct an existing limousine vehicle certificate

1. Submit all of the following:
   • An explanation of the reason for the change, including each vehicle's VIN.
   • Fee of $75 per vehicle (check or money order payable to the Department of Revenue).
