Vehicle certificates and decals: Limousines
Short-term or special needs vehicle certificates
If you need to rent or lease a limousine for a short time, you must get a "special needs certificate".
- The certificate is valid for no more than 30 consecutive days.
- The limousine(s) must meet all requirements, which includes passing the Washington State Patrol limousine inspection.
To request short-term or special needs vehicle certificates:
- Submit all of the following:
- A written explanation of the reason you need the certificates, including each vehicle's vehicle identification number (VIN).
- Fee of $75 per vehicle (check or money order payable to the Department of Revenue).
- Mail your request and fee to:

How to update or correct an existing limousine vehicle certificate
- Submit all of the following:
- An explanation of the reason for the change, including each vehicle's VIN.
