How to get your license: Timeshare company

We have a new online service for managing professional and business licenses. These videos and guides can help you set up your account access. For help using the new service, please contact your professional licensing program.

We expect a processing delay for mailed applications and renewals. Renew or apply online for faster processing of your license. Thank you for your patience and we apologize for any inconvenience.

Who needs a license?

You must have a timeshare company license to offer or sell a timeshare or the right to occupy a unit in 3 or more separate periods over at least 3 years.

What you'll need

File a business license application to get a Unified Business Identifier (UBI) number from the Department of Revenue.

  • Out-of-state businesses that only advertise in Washington aren't required to apply for a UBI number in Washington.

How to apply

Online

  • Prepare your documents for upload:
    • Electronic copy of your public offering statement.
  • Log in or sign up to apply and pay your fee online.

By mail

  1. Complete a Timeshare Company Registration Application.
    • You must include your UBI number on the application.
  2. Provide a copy of the public offering statement with all the required documentation (See the Timeshare Public Offering Statement for details.)
