Requesting public records

How do I request public records?

Online

Visit the Request Public Records portal (nextrequest.com) to make your request. The portal is a secure platform for:

  • Communicating your records needs.
  • Receiving updates about the status of your request.
  • Easy record retrieval once we've processed your request.

Email

Send us an email with a completed and signed:

Mail

Print, complete, and sign one of the above forms and mail it to us at the address shown on the form.

How long will it take?

We will acknowledge your request within 5 business days. When we acknowledge your request, we may ask additional questions to understand exactly what you need and give an estimate of the time we need to search for and produce the records.

Can my request be denied?

We carefully evaluate requests for public records to determine if we can legally release the records for the reasons given. If we must deny your request, we will send you an explanation why the request was denied and list the specific law that exempts the records from disclosure.
