Information for Supervisors

Eligibility requirements:

  • Be a state-certified real estate appraiser for at least 3 years.
  • Have been in "good standing" for 3 years immediately preceding supervisory registration.
  • Successful completion of the Supervisory Appraiser/Trainee Appraiser course.

Supervisory registration application

Complete and submit the Real Estate Appraiser Supervisor Registration:

  • At least 5 business days before you plan to start supervising a trainee.
  • Include the course completion certificate for the Supervisory Appraiser/Trainee Appraiser course.
  • If the Trainee hasn't applied yet, please submit the Supervisor Registration with their Trainee application to expedite the processing of both applications.
  • To get pre-authorization to supervise more than 3 registered trainees, a certified appraiser must:
    • Be certified for at least 5 years in good standing.
    • Submit a written request with a plan explaining how the supervising will be done. Include a table with the trainees names, registration numbers, and how long the trainees have been registered.

Remove supervisory registration

Complete and submit the Real Estate Appraiser Supervisor Registration:

  • You're required to report when you are no longer supervising a trainee. The registration relationship is automatically broken when a Trainee you are supervising passes an exam.
