Professional license review

What's happening?

Earlier this year, HB 1301 - Creating license review and reporting requirements passed into law. The bill requires us to review and analyze about 10 percent of the professional licenses we regulate. We also have to prepare and submit an annual report to the legislature. This process means we'll review all business and professional licenses in 10-year cycles.

What are we doing?

We chose to review the following professions in the 2024 cycle:

  • Court Reporters
  • Employment Agencies
  • Landscape Architects
  • Whitewater Outfitters

We're beginning the review of these professions, which includes stakeholder outreach. We'll keep you updated as this work continues.

How does this impact you?

You should experience minimal to no impact with this review. Our first report is due to the legislature August 31, 2024. We'll post the report on our website in late 2024.

For more information on this bill, visit HB 1301 - Creating license review and reporting requirements.
